01/04/2012 – Long term relationships maintained
Our long relationship with Road Maintenance Services continues with the award of a further highway patching contract in Rhondda Cynon Taff in addition to contracts already running in Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Caerphilly and Newport.
19/03/2012 – Keeping the infrastructure running for Monmouthshire County Council
Pemb has carried out a number of projects for the authority and the latest involves the removal of an existing retaining structure on the B4235 to be replaced with a reinforced shotcrete structure with 6m soil nails. Improvements are to be made to the adjacent highway to include enhancements to existing gabion baskets and drainage.
05/03/2012 – 54 bed care home gets underway
Pemb Civils have secured a 54 bed care home development in the heart of Nailsea Bristol in which we will work alongside ER Hemmings (Construction). This is an important project which requires some innovative design as it is built on an old quarry containing many adits and shafts.
06/02/2012 – Welcome! Our new project manager
Pemb Civils are pleased to welcome Steve Thorne to his new role as Project Manager within the Civil Engineering and Groundworks division of the company, Steve is a chartered civil engineer with many years experience gained from Mid Glamorgan County Council to Walters UK and then on to Morrison Construction.
16/01/2012 – Pemb Civils - Keeping Cardiff Moving
Passengers travelling on two busy Cardiff bus routes are now benefiting from an investment of nearly £300,000 to improve their bus stops. As part of a major project to regenerate the City Centre and provide improved facilities for passengers using public transport, new high quality bus shelters, raised kerbs for easier access to buses and improved information displays have been provided in this project, run by Galliford Try on behalf of Cardiff City Council.
04/12/2011 – SAFETY FIRST - Health and Safety Director awarded Tech IOSH
After successfully completing the Nebosh Construction Certificate and due to many years experience within the construction industry Health and Safety Director Robert Milton has been awarded Technician membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
